LA CARRERA DE LOS 6 DÍAS
Jesus Rubio Gamo , BIANCA PULUNGAN , KJERSTI MÜLLER-SANDSTOLa carrera de los 6 días (The Six-Day Race) is a collaborative project among three European cities. A choreographer from Madrid, one from Essen and one from Lucerne will travel to the other two cities to create a dance piece in six days.
The creators will meet the dancers and find out the theme only two days before beginning the creation, a rule that requires them to hone their senses in view of the brevity of the encounter.
The result will surely be moving and unpredictable. The project will culminate on the 11th of September with the presentation of all three works at the Teatro Lagrada in Madrid.
All three pieces will be shown in six consecutive countries for 20 minutes. Thus, the audience can decide whether to stay to see several pieces and discover how each choreographer has interpreted the theme with their dancers.
