The lights go down and the logo of Paramount Pictures appears. “Days of Thunder” begins, perhaps the most popular film by Tom Cruise and Tony Scott. The screening seems to be going well until Tom crashes into his race car and onscreen Martin Kove starts to sell glasses. You might expect something like this, because then small Super-8 films start to devour the screen everywhere. And if you’re not careful, they just might devour you as well.
